In January 2017 we celebrate the 100th birthday of recorded jazz, and in JAZZ CENTENNIAL we sample music from throughout the history of this amazing music: from early New Orleans jazz, swing, bebop and cool jazz to modal jazz, hard bop, West Coast and more. Jazz greats from Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington to Charlie Parker and John Coltrane grace the screen as we wish jazz the happiest of birthdays.
